Free Lunch

In 2008-09 school year, 84 percent of Indianapolis Public school students qualified for free or reduced-price lunches. This is a 6 percent increase from the previous school year. In an effort to help provide an opportunity to continue to provide a nutritious meal for these children over the summer, the USDA funds 234 summer programs in Marion County.
  • For a county-by-county list of summer lunch locations go to mustang.doe.in.gov/dg/05-food/welcome.html
  • Indy Parks provides free lunches at several locations throughout the city.
  • The Boys and Girls Club charges a fee for it's summers camp programs but does not charge for meals. Go to www.bgcindy.org for locations.
