1000 Redbud Tree Giveaway
Arbor Day is April 24th this year in Indiana. To celebrate, the Indianapolis/Marion County Tree Board and IPL are giving away 1000 redbud trees. The giveaway will start at noon on Monument Circle and run until all the trees are given out. Based on previous years, it will only take an hour. In addition to giving out trees, there will be booths with information on tree planting and care.
Redbuds are small trees suitable for planting near overhead utility lines. They are a native plant that blooms pink at this time of the year.
