CITY TO CELEBRATE 10TH ANNIVERSARY OF AFRICAN FESTIVAL

The City of Indianapolis, in partnership with African
Community International, Inc., will celebrate the 10th Anniversary of
the African Festival August 14th and 15th.

The festival will begin Friday with the African Ambassadors and Business
Conference scheduled to take place from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. followed
by the Tastes of Africa and Fashion of Africa, Friday evening beginning
at 6:30 p.m. These events will be held at the Indiana War Memorial

A variety of events including the African Film Festival (held at the
Central Library), a community health fair and other activities are
scheduled throughout the day on Saturday, August 15th as the official
African Festival events kickoff at 10:45 a.m. The festival will be held
in downtown Indianapolis on the American Legion Mall.
