Commemorate 9/11

HOST COMMUNITY FAIR
TO COMMEMORATE SEPTEMBER 11

The City of Indianapolis and United Way of Central Indiana (UWCI) will co-host a Community Fair on Monument Circle this Thursday to commemorate the seventh anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. More than 150 central Indiana nonprofit agencies will be on site to promote volunteerism and bring better awareness to the need to care for others in the community. Among the agencies will be the Indiana Blood Center, which will be set up to hold a blood drive. Also, UWCI will be accepting polo donations to help Indianapolis Public School families prepare for the school year. The shirts can be any size in red, white, navy, light blue or black with no imprinted logo. Additionally, Applebee's and Mayberry Concessions Inc. will be on site selling food and snacks with proceeds going to UWCI.
