Watching Over the Neighborhood
Officers Koe, Robinson, and Maher were out on foot patrol Tuesday evening in the area of 1100 S. Laurel when they heard several shots fired. They continued their foot patrol towards the sound of the shots and observed someone jump into the rear of a vehicle. The car started towards them and Ofc. Koe ordered it to stop at gunpoint. The backseat driver was moving about and he was removed from the vehicle. He had an empty semi-auto pistol and about 2oz of marijuana on him. Spent shell casings where also found in the rear of the house in which he stated he had previously been hanging out (1219 Laurel).
