Anyone can be caught in a situation where they are unsure of their legal rights. It can be very frightening, but help is available by calling Legal Line, a free monthly service sponsored by the Indianapolis Bar Association, on Tuesday, October 14, 2008. Attorney volunteers who are members of the Indianapolis Bar Association will be answering calls to help the public from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on October 14.
It’s quick and easy! By calling (317) 269-2000 between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. on the second Tuesday of every month (except December), anyone can speak with a qualified attorney who will help answer basic questions and give advice on legal matters. NOTE: The November Legal Line will take place on Thursday, November 13, 2008, as part of the IBA’s Ask A Lawyer program. Individuals can talk with an attorney in person at several Indianapolis locations or on the telephone. More information is available at www.indybar.org.
Attorney volunteers are prepared to answer questions during Legal Line on a variety of topics including, but not limited to, divorce, child custody, child support, landlord/tenant issues, bankruptcy, personal injury, employment law and more.
Callers with more complex legal issues are encouraged to seek representation through the IBA’s Lawyer Referral Service at (317) 269-2222, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
