World Refugee Day

World Refugee Day Celebration
Friday, June 20, 2008
6 PM to 10 PM
Harrison Arts Center
1505 North Delaware

Did you know?

* Indiana is home to a growing number of refugees, bringing diverse communities to our city and enriching our political and cultural life.
* Right now, native Hoosiers are working with refugees around the world.
* By fusing the traditions of refugee communities with the knowledge and experience of Hoosiers, we have a unique opportunity to help find solutions to problems around the world and at home.

Help us take the first step towards finding these solutions. Please come to a celebration of newly arrived refugees in the city, hosted by Provocate, in partnership with Democracy 2.0 and Refugee Resource. The party starts at 6 PM on World Refugee Day, Friday, June 20, and will last until 10 PM at the Harrison Arts Center, 1505 North Delaware. A presentation by Democracy 2.0, a project seeking to build a virtual Burmese civil society through communications technology, will be followed by an evening of music, art, fashion and fun!
