Help Write History of Indy's East side

Writer seeks Eastside photos, stories

Writer Julie Young -- who last year wrote a book titled "Images of America: Historic Irvington" -- is working on another book about the Eastside and is seeking residents' help.

The History Press plans to publish Young's next book, "Indy's East Side: A Brief History." The book will contain stories and photos about places such as Woodruff Place, Fountain Square, Little Flower/Scecina, Irvington, Warren Park, Eastgate, the Shadeland Avenue corridor and the Washington Square area.Young is looking for photos, stories and general memories from residents. Items can be from as recent as the 1970s.
