Rain gardens are another sustainable solution that can beautify property and manage excess stormwater. These gardens are planted in low-lying areas with deep-rooted plants that thrive on and absorb water. Soil and flowers filter trash and other pollutants from stormwater before it enters the ground. These gardens can be planted with flowers, grasses, shrubs and trees.
