American Legion Family Legacy Walk

MAYOR TO PARTICIPATE IN AMERICAN LEGION FAMILY LEGACY WALK

On Thursday, Mayor Greg Ballard will participate in The American Legion's Inaugural Legacy Walk, an event organized by the American Legion Family Employees League to reflect on the lives lost on Sept. 11, 2001. The Legacy Walk is non-competitive, free and open to the general public.

At the event, the American Legion will be accepting donations to benefit The American Legion Legacy Scholarship, which benefits children of military personnel killed since Sept. 11, 2001, and the American Legion Auxiliary's National President's Scholarship Fund, which provides assistance to children of any service member.

Mayor Greg Ballard, Brigadier General Stewart Goodwin, Lieutenant Colonel Robert LaVoit, the North Central High School JROTC Color Guard and Reverend Eugene Wagner

WHAT:
Inaugural American Legion Family Legacy Walk

WHERE:
Indiana War Memorial
The Rally will be held on the North steps of the Indiana War Memorial (Located on North St., between Pennsylvania St. and Meridian St.)

WHEN:
Thursday September 11
1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
*Public Rally 12:30 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.
*Ceremony 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Mayor Ballard to speak at 1:30 p.m.
*Walk Begins at 2:00 p.m.
