First Chinese Festival

INDIANAPOLIS PLAYS HOST TO CITY'S FIRST CHINESE FESTIVAL

For the first time in Indianapolis' history, the City will host a festival to celebrate and honor the Chinese people in our city. The Chinese Festival is a celebration of family, harvest, and prosperity, which corresponds with the traditional Chinese Moon Festival. The day will be filled with Chinese Culture, from food and entertainment, to traditional clothing and art. In keeping with Chinese custom, the Chinese festival will close in the evening with a lantern ceremony walk from Military Park to the White River.
